Dr. Monica Wentworth

Dr. Wentworth, a native of Houston, Texas, was born in Pasadena and grew up in the area, graduating from Sam Rayburn High School. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. Her mother worked as an administrative assistant for UT Houston at LBJ Hospital, where Dr. Wentworth spent many summers, gaining insight into the role of a doctor and helping others. Inspired by a female OB/GYN doctor she admired, Dr. Wentworth completed high school in three years through night school to pursue her dream. She attended Texas State University on a scholarship from the Houston Livestock Show in Rodeo, where she was introduced to research and graduated with honors. Dr. Wentworth’s passion for medicine led her to attend medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and complete a prestigious general surgery residency at the University of California San Diego. Following her residency, she pursued additional plastic surgery training at the University of Illinois Chicago before starting her private practice in Harlingen, Texas. Dr. Wentworth has since developed a deep appreciation for aesthetic plastic surgery and facial plastic surgery, cherishing the opportunity to restore confidence to women of all shapes and sizes. She is dedicated to providing safe, effective, and satisfying procedures while treating all patients like family members.

During her time in private practice, Dr. Wentworth developed a deep appreciation for perioperative education for patients, emphasizing the importance of patient education and empowerment. She believes in providing patients with comprehensive information to ensure they feel confident and informed throughout their surgical journey.
