Gynecomastia Surgery Before And After Photos | Houston, TexasMale breast enlargement or gynecomastia can be corrected in a safe and effective way with breast reduction plastic surgery.

At the time of the initial consultation, the surgeon will inform the patient about various facets of the procedure to enable them to make a judicious choice.

Certain surgeons may also display gynecomastia before and after images during the pre-operative consultation to allow the patient to comprehend the potential effectiveness of this procedure.

Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS) provide gynecomastia surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding communities.

What are Gynecomastia Before and After Photos?

Gynecomastia ‘before and after’ images refer to pictures of previous patients who have received the same procedure with successful outcomes. These pictures include images taken prior to the surgery and after the procedure at a time when the post-operative bruising and inflammation is resolved and the complete effects of the procedure manifest.

The surgeon will ensure that the images are taken only with the patient’s express consent and presented to new patients in a judicious and discreet manner. The identity of the patient will be kept private as per standard protocol.

The sole purpose of the surgeon is showcasing these images is to use these pictures as a visual aid to inform new patients about what gynecomastia surgery can and cannot achieve for them.

ACPS does just this. The images on the website could not be more plentiful and offer anyone with this issue the ability to extract what they see on the website and apply it to their own body. You can do this from anywhere you want.

Benefits

Upon considering male breast reduction cosmetic surgery, a new patient may have only a vague idea of how the treated site will look after the procedure.

They may want to understand more clearly whether their personal aesthetic requirements will be met with this procedure. Certain patients may require surgery in only one breast. Yet others may require it in both breasts.

The amount of breast tissue to be eliminated through excision or liposuction will also differ between patients. Regardless of the case, the patient will be better positioned to make a judicious decision when he has access to gynecomastia male breast reduction before and after images.

What is truly phenomenal about this is that any potential patient can make this determination without having to make one phone call. Without having to make one email as well. These images can be seen on a beach in Cabo San Lucas or while walking down the sidewalk in downtown Oklahoma City. As long as you have Internet access, you can grasp the power of these images anywhere.

Reasonable Expectations

Patients typically accomplish the highest satisfaction levels from any cosmetic procedures when they have a positive mindset, concise goals, and reasonable expectations.

Therefore, experienced plastic surgeons choose to showcase gynecomastia surgery before and after pictures to new patients during the first appointment itself.

After the patient understands what this surgery can and cannot do for them, he will be better able to appreciate the final outcomes. This simple initiative will reduce the risk of any future disappointments for the patient.

Pictures on the Website

The surgeon may choose to display gynecomastia surgery before and after pictures on their practice website which is certainly the case here. This will allow new patients to conveniently access these images online in the privacy of their home or office (as already mentioned), and then decide on setting up a personal gynecomastia consultation with the plastic surgeon.

Transparency is key here and ACPS, like their championship baseball team, has nothing to hide. Their work speaks for itself which is why they have one salient image after another on their website. Any time a surgeon makes a patient feel at ease increases the chances that that person will make a better decision.

With the patient feeling comfortable with the decision they made then when it comes time for surgery they will be more relaxed and have a better understanding on what to expect. This is better for everyone involved as already mentioned.

How much does Gynecomastia surgery cost? | Houston, TexasGynecomastia (male breast enlargement) can be effectively corrected with a breast reduction plastic surgery procedure.

In the case of gynecomastia, medical insurance coverage may be possible. However, the underlying reasons for the development of the condition may be considered.

For this reason, a patient should have clarity on the approximate costs of the procedure, in case they need to bear the costs of the surgery out of pocket. A responsible surgeon will make sure that the patient receives full information about male breast reduction and its associated costs to make an enlightened decision.

Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS) provide gynecomastia surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding locations.

Cost Factors

Male breast reduction or gynecomastia surgery costs may differ between practices, and in some instances, even vary between two patients at the same practice. The below mentioned aspects usually impact the costs:

Geographical Location of the Practice

Gynecomastia costs at a practice located in a main metropolitan city or prime urban center are likely to be more than those at a practice situated in a relatively smaller town.

The overhead and real estate costs are usually higher in prime locations, and this affects the average costs of most goods and services, including plastic surgery procedures.

Surgeon’s Charges

The surgeon’s fee usually depends on their credentials, experience, and reputation in the area of cosmetic surgery. In general, board certified plastic surgeons invest in the highest quality standards and best practices, adopt the most advanced surgical techniques, pursue on-going education, and follow the latest safety protocols.

The ASPS advises patients to work with the best surgeon for their needs. Factors such as the surgeon’s charges should only be a secondary consideration in this decision.

Anesthesia and Surgical Venue Costs

In case gynecomastia surgery is undertaken using general anesthesia, it will necessitate the services of an anesthesiologist or a certified nurse anesthetist.

Their charges may differ depending on their qualifications. They will remain in attendance throughout the surgical procedure to monitor the patient’s response to the anesthesia.

The surgeon may undertake breast reduction surgery at an accredited surgery center, a hospital, or a private surgical suite. Each option has associated costs and benefits, and the patient can make an appropriate decision in discussion with their surgeon.

Additional Expenses

The gynecomastia surgery cost estimate should account for additional expenses such as the costs of medical tests, prescription drugs, and post-operative appointments with the surgeon. In addition, working professionals should consider the cost implications of taking a break from work for post-op recovery.

Extent of Surgery

While some patients may need tissue reduction in only on breast, others may require it in both. In case there is no glandular tissue present, the surgeon may only undertake liposuction. In other cases, the patient may require both liposuction and excision.

Is Gynecomastia Surgery covered by Medical Insurance?

A majority of gynecomastia surgery cases will not be eligible for insurance coverage. But each insurance policy differs significantly. Patients should carefully review the terms of their policy to determine coverage.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has published a position paper for doctors and insurance providers defining the recommended criteria for reconstructive gynecomastia cases. Patients should ask the surgeon for a copy of this document to submit to their insurance company.

Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction) Surgery | Houston, TexasThe clinical name for male breast enlargement is gynecomastia. The abnormal breast appearance can become a source of embarrassment and social and psychological problems for men with this condition.

At the same time, gynecomastia may lead to physical challenges or discomfort in some patients. Male breast reduction plastic surgery is a safe and effective solution to address this problem.

Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS) provide gynecomastia surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding communities.

Causes

Gynecomastia may develop in either one or both male breasts. Male patients usually feel emotionally troubled because of this concern.

At times, he may try to ignore or hide the issue instead of seeking medical advice. Prior to recommending plastic surgery for this condition, the surgeon will try to establish the underlying cause for male breast enlargement in a specific patient.

Depending on the reason for the development of gynecomastia, a suitable treatment plan can be developed. Some common causes for the occurrence of this condition include:

  • Use of specific medications or steroids
  • Excessive weight gain
  • Prolonged alcohol intake
  • Specific diseases or cancers
  • Congenital issues

Ideal Candidates

The surgeon will evaluate the patient’s overall medical condition and assess his breast anatomy and other variables to establish his fitness for male breast reduction cosmetic surgery. It is vital to understand if the patient actually has excess breast tissue that necessitates surgical removal.

Certain patients may only have a tiny amount of excess fat tissue and loose skin in the breast region. Such patients may benefit from weight loss techniques, a balanced diet plan, and specific pectoral exercises.

The surgeon will evaluate the patient’s previous health records to understand their overall medical condition and may order specific tests if required.

An ideal candidate will have a positive mind frame, clear cosmetic goals, and realistic expectations. In case the patient smokes, the surgeon will require them to stop smoking at least for a specified duration.

Improve Your Image On the Inside and Out

Immediately Noticeable Outcomes

While it may take between three to six months to recover from the surgery completely, a flatter chest will be instantly visible.

Better Posture

For men who have a large chest, causing them to hunch, corrective surgery offers an effective solution enabling them to stand up straight and improve their core strength.

Enhanced Body Image and Self-Confidence

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that boys suffering from gynecomastia also experience mental health, self-confidence, and social function issues. While surgery is not a cure for these issues, it can eliminate a major barrier.

Procedure

The surgery will be undertaken using general anesthesia or intravenous sedation.

The individualized surgical plan may include liposuction techniques or excision, or a combination of the two to eliminate excess breast tissue. The surgeon will initiate the surgery by making an incision in a pre-determined, inconspicuous location, typically around the nipple and areola area.

The surgeon will use liposuction to remove the unwanted fat using a narrow cannula and a syringe. The hard glandular tissue will have to be eliminated using a scalpel. After the excess skin and fat are removed, the surgeon will cautiously seal the incisions with stitches or tape.

After the procedure, the patient will require around one week of downtime. He can resume his normal routine or return to the workplace after one week, but should not perform aggressive exercises for around one month.

As we age, our skin loses elasticity. Unfortunately, this takes a toll on the breasts, causing them to sag. In addition, fluctuating breast volume due to weight changes and/or pregnancy contributes to a loss of breast firmness. The good news is a shapely, firm appearance  can be restored to the breasts through one or more cosmetic plastic surgery procedures: Breast augmentation with implants, breast lift surgery or breast augmentation combined with breast lift surgery.

ACPS surgeon Dr. Chris Patronella says,  “Determining which option is the best fit for you will be dependent on factors such as the degree of sagging you are experiencing and your aesthetic goals including:  Do you want a more natural look or one that is more artificial? Do you desire a soft or a firmer feel? Is your objective to have more fullness at the top or do you prefer a sloping breast appearance? Knowing the answers to these questions will help your ACPS plastic surgeon recommend the ideal solution for you.

“Breast augmentation alone for rejuvenation is best for a woman who has mild sagging and very little breast tissue. This is because the implant will fill out the space and restore the breast to a more normal position. That is almost never possible with a  woman who has larger breasts, such as a C cup, which sag moderately. The implant in that condition cannot really lift the breast because there is too much tissue that will fall in front of the implants. In that case, often an implant and a lift is necessary.

The condition where a lift alone might be the appropriate approach would be a woman who has a fairly full, say a D or DD cup, but has a really good skin tone and enough breast tissue to restore upper pole fullness, and that person is seeking a perkier breast appearance rather than a more artificial one. Each woman has a very unique set of goals and a very individual condition. For that reason, the surgical plan must be and customized to fit each person’s needs.”

If you are interested in transforming the appearance of your breasts, whether that be improving their lift, volume or both, contact us today to schedule your consultation with an ACPS surgeon.

FUE/NeoGraft Hair Transplant For Both Men And Women

NeoGraft_Feature_A_FemaleNeoGraft is an innovative automated hair transplant system that helps follicle harvesting during a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant. This dramatically enhances the accuracy and speed over previously used manual extraction devices.

As FUE/NeoGraft is minimally invasive, it is appropriate for both men and women seeking to restore their own living and growing hair via transplantation. Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery provide NeoGraft hair restoration to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding locations.

Male/Female Candidacy for FUE/NeoGraft

Ideal candidates for FUE include patients who wish to wear their hair short in the sides or back of their scalp or those who want minimal activity restriction (for instance, athletes) after their hair transplant procedure. On top of this, the NeoGraft FUE System is used for ‘scar camouflage’ procedures in patients who have had linear harvests in the past as well as for body hair transplants.

People who are in good overall health with moderate hair loss and adequate donor hair on the back of the scalp to transplant into the balding sites are good candidates for hair restoration surgery. Patients with greater hair density, more donor hair, and thickness can usually expect fuller outcomes.

Also, it is vital for patients to have realistic aesthetic goals. Hair transplantation offers excellent, natural outcomes but cannot restore the hair density to when a person was in their teens. The doctor will evaluate the level of coverage necessary for a specific patient to offer them the appearance that they seek.

NeoGraft – Frequently Asked Questions

How is NeoGraft performed?

NeoGraft makes use of controlled pneumatic pressure to slide the graft out in a smoother manner. This avoids pulling or twisting that can potentially damage the graft. The grafts can be re-planted sooner, which helps them remain stronger, creating a more natural looking hairline.

What is an “FUE” hair transplant?

“F.U.E.” or “Follicular-Unit Extraction” is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive transplant technique which enables the harvesting of individual follicles from the donor sites without any incisions or sutures. For this reason, this procedure does not leave any linear scars.

What are the advantages of NeoGraft over manual FUE techniques?

The NeoGraft system is highly ergonomic and works as a natural extension of the surgeons’ hand. This allows for quicker and more targeted harvesting of hair follicles. People undergoing the NeoGraft procedure achieve their goal with less time spent in the procedure room or altogether fewer FUE procedures.

How long will the hair last?

Hair transplantation does not put a stop to hair loss. Certain individuals will require continued management, and further sessions will likely be necessary, especially if the balding pattern continues with age.

The desire for higher hair density or progressive hair loss will warrant more transplants. During the initial consultation, the doctor will discuss facets such as an estimate of the balding pattern as well as the number of procedures required.

Do I have to get a total ‘buzz cut’ to have an FUE/NeoGraft procedure?

No, this is not necessary if a person wears their hair long. In case the donor hair is appropriately long, FUE/NeoGraft hair follicle harvesting can be done by shaving tiny areas, which can be covered by the existing hair. Wearing the hair short helps shave it close for maximum yield. It appears more natural quicker as the transplanted grafts are short as well.

Cosmetic surgeons at the ACPS receive patients from Houston, Texas, TX, and nearby areas for NeoGraft hair restoration procedure.

Dr. Henry Mentz Says Advanced Neck Rejuvenation Methods are the Key to Better Necklift Results

Surgical Neck Rejuvenation

Surgery for the aging neck has become far more complex and effective, allowing cosmetic plastic surgeons to better refine the youthful architecture of the jaw and neckline. Whereas old-school methods have focused on skin and muscle tightening to lift the neck, new techniques target the deeper neck structures. These techniques create a longer, more elegant neck contour, and they enhance jawline definition. In addition, you can leave more fat under the skin, which gives it a more supple, soft and luscious look. Traditionally, with a neck lift, muscle is stitched together under the chin, then the muscle is elevated under both ears. This suspends the neck in a type of muscular hammock.

ACPS surgeon and facelift expert Dr. Henry Mentz said, “This approach has been around 30 years and has worked pretty well. But now we are going beneath the hammock to improve these 3 areas: 1. The deep muscle under the chin can be thinned to sculpt a sharper jawline angle. 2. Deep fat between the muscles may be removed to create a more youthful jawline appearance. 3. We can remove a portion of the submaxillary gland—a gland for saliva that sits under the jawline. The older you get, the more it slides down the neck. For many years, this has been one of the limitations to creating a youthful jawline. Now we can remove the bottom half of that gland. Contouring of these deep structures has created a whole new level of improvement in neck rejuvenation. I’ve been doing it for a long time but have become more aggressive with it.”

Neck lift surgery can be an excellent solution for individuals who wish to improve the following aesthetic concerns:

  • Lack of definition in the jawline
  • Loose, crepey neck skin—often referred to as a “turkey wattle”
  • Unwanted neck bulk due to excess fat

ACPS surgeons typically perform neck lift surgery in combination with facelift surgery and other facial surgical procedures rather than as an isolated procedure. This is because, as we age, other facial features such as the eyes and brow usually experience sagging in conjunction with the neck. By addressing the face as a whole, natural, balanced-looking rejuvenation is better achieved.

Nonsurgical Neck Rejuvenation to Tighten Sagging Skin and Reduce A Double Chin

For those who are interested in nonsurgical options to improve the neck’s appearance, the spa providers at ACPS – The Spa & Rejuvenation Center offer several treatment options depending upon the aesthetic objective. Kybella, a cosmetic injectable, reduces the submental fat which can cause the appearance of a double chin. Another option for excess fat in this area is CoolSculpting, which uses a controlled cooling method to target and eliminate fat cells without damage to surrounding tissues. In addition, ACPS’s aesthetic nurse injectors are skilled at combining cosmetic injectables to soften “necklace lines.” These horizontal creases develop across the neck due to aging and a modern habit that characterizes our era: frequent bending of the neck to check mobile devices. Our skin tightening lasers such as Ultherapy, ThermiTight and Sciton Halo and Forever Young BBL can tighten sagging skin and improve its texture and tone.

With so many choices, it can be daunting to determine which treatment or combination of treatment will best deliver the results for which you are looking. The degree of skin laxity, skin quality and your aesthetic goals are a few of the factors to consider in making your choice. A consultation with one of our award-winning plastic surgeons or aesthetic nurse injectors will give you the clarity you need to make the best decision for you.

NeoGraft Hair Restoration Before And After Photos

NeoGraft Hair Restoration Before & After Photos

Hair transplantation is an effective and successful treatment for people seeking to restore healthier, fuller hair. Now patients can achieve thicker hair with a less invasive hair transplantation procedure called NeoGraft.

The NeoGraft provider will inform the patient about various aspects of the procedure at the time of the pre-treatment consultation. Additionally, they may display before and after photos of previous NeoGraft patients.

The primary goal of the NeoGraft provider will be to educate the patient on the various advantages and limitations of the procedure to allow them to make a judicious choice.

Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery provide NeoGraft hair restoration to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding communities.

NeoGraft Hair Restoration Before and After Photos

NeoGraft hair restoration before and after photos refers to a pair or group f pictures of previous patients who have achieved desirable results with this procedure. These images include pictures that are taken before as well as after the treatment at various stages of the NeoGraft procedure and showcase the final hair restoration results of the procedure.

The treatment provider will attain these photos with the full consent of the patient and will show them to new patients in a discreet and judicious manner. The only reason for showing these pictures is to help the new patient gauge the potential effectiveness of NeoGraft.

This allows prospective patients to develop reasonable expectation about the hair restoration procedure and make an enlightened decision.

Advantages

Individuals considering an advanced hair restoration procedure such as NeoGraft may have concerns on its outcomes and how it may improve their hair appearance.

Certain patients need only a minor hair transplant for the restoration of their hairline or to treat a few small balding patches, while others may require a more comprehensive procedure to address large balding areas on the scalp.

Therefore, it is entirely natural for a new patient to be unsure or confused about choosing a suitable hair restoration treatment as well as the adequate level of treatment that they need. At this point, the provider can display NeoGraft before and after pictures to patients to help them make the correct decision.

Developing Realistic Expectations

At the time of the pre-treatment consultation, an experienced treatment provider will show the patient NeoGraft hair restoration before and after pictures to enable them to develop reasonable expectations form the procedure. Patients with realistic expectations typically achieve higher satisfaction levels and are not disappointed at a later stage.

Digital Images on Instagram

The surgeon may feature digital versions of NeoGraft before and after images on their practice website and share them through Instagram as well. This is not the case right now but that does not mean ACPS cannot at any time update their website. New patients can see these pictures on the web if this website is updated, as just mentioned, before deciding to schedule a consultation with the surgeon.

A patient now can request to see these images during the consultation which is critical anyhow. ACPS believes in transparency which is why they have so many satisfied former patients.

NeoGraft ‘before and after’ pictures create an even more compelling effect when shown as slideshows. The surgeon can use Instagram Stories and other innovative features to provide patients with more information on NeoGraft hair restoration.

Cosmetic surgeons at the ACPS receive patients from Houston, Texas, TX, and nearby areas for NeoGraft hair restoration procedure.

NeoGraft hair restoration cost

Traditional hair transplant surgery has been available for many years to people seeking hair restoration.

However, hair transplantation is a complex and invasive process which is relatively expensive. NeoGraft is an advanced technology that helps achieve the restoration of hair in an entirely automated and efficient manner.

The NeoGraft provider will explain various facets of the procedure, including its estimated costs, at the time of the initial consultation. Board certified plastic surgeons at the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery provide NeoGraft hair restoration to patients in Houston, Texas, TX, and surrounding locations.

Cost Comparison with Traditional Hair Transplant

Traditional hair transplantation surgery involves manual work and has various limitations, such as high procedure costs. On the other hand, NeoGraft is more efficient and less invasive. This procedure is more cost-effective. In most cases, the total costs of NeoGraft could be less than the costs of traditional hair transplant surgery.

The NeoGraft procedure involves a briefer healing period and minimal downtime. For working professionals, this increases the cost-effectiveness of the procedure as the patient has to take lesser time off work.

NeoGraft Variable Costs

At some practices, the cost of hair transplant is calculated on a per graft basis, which becomes the first variable. In case one patient requires 1,500 grafts, while another needs 2,000 grafts, the overall procedure costs will differ accordingly.

During the consultation, other variables such as the head size, hairline, and follicular density, and the patient’s personal aesthetic goals will be determined.

In general, traditional Strip Harvest transplants may be less expensive than advanced Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) transplants. However, the lower cost of strip harvesting comes with visible scarring, extended recovery period, and other unwanted side effects.

Other Cost Factors

NeoGraft hair transplantation costs may differ between two practices. These costs may even vary between two patients at the same practice. The location of the practice influences the total cost of the procedure.

The overhead and real estate costs in main metropolitan cities and busy urban centers are usually higher in comparison to smaller towns in the interiors. This impacts the costs of goods and services in the region, including those of hair transplantation procedures.

Aspects such as the training and skills of the plastic surgeon or NeoGraft specialists, quality standards at the practice, the experience of the staff, and type of equipment used will impact the procedure costs. It typically costs more to offer top-notch quality standards and customized care to every patient.

Patients should judiciously choose a skilled practitioner for administering a cutting-edge procedure such as NeoGraft. The procedure costs should only be a secondary consideration to aspects such as the safety protocols and quality standards at a particular practice.

Insurance and Financing

NeoGraft is an elective procedure which is administered solely for aesthetic reasons. This means that the patient will not receive insurance coverage for such procedures.

However, patients can benefit from various financing options from professional medical care financing firms to fund the procedure. Cosmetic surgeons at the ACPS receive patients from Houston, Texas, TX, and nearby areas for NeoGraft hair restoration procedure.
